Overview:
The CCMA Internship offers a unique chance to gain practical insights into the workings of the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation, and Arbitration. You will work closely with our team to assist in resolving labor disputes, conducting research, and performing various administrative tasks that support our mission of promoting fair labor practices.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in Mediation Sessions: Support experienced mediators in preparing and conducting mediation sessions.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on labour laws, mediation techniques and case precedents for dispute resolution assistance.
- Document Preparation: Help prepare documentation necessary for mediations, conciliations or arbitrations.
- Administrative Support: Carry out administrative duties such as data entry, filing and organizing case files.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients so as to gather information, schedule appointments or give updates on case statuses.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment or recent graduation from a relevant degree program (e.g., Law, Human Resources Industrial Relations).
- Strong researching skills And analytical skills.
- Good written And oral communication skills.
- Being able To keep sensitive information confidentially with discretion.
- Proficiency using word processors (Word), spreadsheet software (Excel), presentation software (PowerPoint) etc.
Requirements:
Candidates must be self-driven individuals who pay attention to detail and have an appetite for learning. It is important to have the ability of working independently or within teams.
